THE MINDFUL REALTOR
Gary fell in love with Rhode Island ever since his arrival in 1984. Born and raised in New Jersey, he attended the University of Connecticut on a football scholarship. It was then that he first experienced his passion for New England. After graduation, he pursued his career in Washington D.C., New Jersey, Maine and New Hampshire. In 1984, he literally “bought the farm” in Foster, Rhode Island.
Since then, Gary has also lived in Hope Valley, Warren and Bristol before settling with his wife Eva in Providence – first in a historic condo in Fox Point and then in a Queen Anne Victorian on the East Side. Their 14-year remodeling adventure was just finished. Gary’s navigation through the labyrinth of home ownership over the past 37 years has given him a great deal of empathy and skills as a buyer and a seller.
Most of Gary’s career was in corporate sales, marketing and entrepreneurship. Before joining Williams & Stuart real estate, he served as Director of Development at WaterFire Providence and Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation where he built a vast network of colleagues, supporters and lifelong friends.
Throughout Gary’s business career, he was a leader in values based business, corporate social responsibility and servant leadership. Authenticity, integrity and resilience have been his guiding values. These values, plus communication and a strong work ethic make him the perfect choice for your real estate needs.
Gary has also been involved in the mindfulness movement for over 30 years. Why mindfulness? Buying or selling a house has been listed in one poll as more stressful than a divorce, bankruptcy and the death of a loved one. Gary uses and shares simple tools to make your journey together through purchase or sale a pleasurable experience.
Gary has been married to the woman of his dreams for the past 23 years, and has a son, two daughters, eight granddaughters and two grandsons.
He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, RI MLS, RI Association of Realtors and the Greater Providence Board of Realtors.
