REALTOR
Maureen joined Williams & Stuart Real Estate because she wanted to be with a locally owned & operated real estate office again where experienced, professional agents work together and share ideas. Maureen also wants to share her experience with new agents who come on board so they gain the knowledge she did early on in her career.
Teaming up with her mother Joan, an experienced agent for many years, Maureen began her career in Real Estate in 1990. Together they worked in a small office environment surrounded by experienced agents who had also been in the business for many years. The lessons learned from these agents cannot compare to anything that may be taught in a classroom.
She started off working predominately with first-time home buyers. Initially, Maureen would pre-qualify the buyers so they felt comfortable in knowing they could afford to buy home. From there she would work with them to develop a budget and understand their requirements and expectations; all before making appointments to see various properties. Once the affordability was determined, she began the search for the perfect home. As a result of this diligence, Maureen understood what they needed and acted accordingly.
As time went on her past clients became sellers. She would do the same work from beginning to end and assist them in their decision to sell their property consistent with current/future market conditions. There were many times Maureen told her clients, “It is not a good time for you right now.” Maureen has been more concerned about her clients well being and not in her own gain. Her twenty five plus (25+) years of professional experience coupled with her integrity = priceless! As a testament to her reputation Maureen enjoys a 98% referral business. Her past clients continue to come back again and again, and refer their friends and family.
Maureen grew up in Edgewood, Pawtuxet Village section of Cranston and currently resides there. She has been active in her community including serving on the Gaspee Days Committee which is responsible for the Annual Gaspee Days Parade; and also volunteering as a mentor to children in the Warwick school department for 10+ years. Her professional associations include a membership in the Rhode Island Association of Realtors, the Greater Providence Board of Realtors, and the State-wide Multiple Listing Service.
